I had a thought
It’s just a thought
That’s trickling round
My brain,
It’s all the same
Just one refrain
I cannot make it stop!
My eyes are closed
I hear it still,
Wide awake
It clamours shrill!
It will not leave
This silly thought
I feel it will explode!
I have resisted
But it insisted
So now I make it yours…..
