I cannot remember
The things I have said,
The act of remembering
It feels me with dread!
I remember the past
As if I was there.
But what I’ve just eaten?
It’s really unfair!
People I’ve known,
For short or for long,
The names that they have
I’m afraid that they’re gone!
I want to remember,
I’m afraid to forget,
I feel I am losing,
Now that is a threat!
Time passes on
For thee and for me,
I’ll live in the moment
Until I am free!
Now there is the one thing that still halts me in my tracks Pam…trying to remember someone’s name. It’s like the memory racks in my brain have been knocked over and I’m trying to sort through the complete A to Z to just find one name 😀

I try to use word clues to remember names: My friend Mark is such a Lark!

Hey, now there’s an idea. I might give that a go…I’ll probably remember the Lark instead of the Mark 😀

I once remembered a woman’s name by relating her to a soup tureen! (Her name was Jureen)

The only reason I know what I had for breakfast is because I have the same every day. But if you were to ask me what Day it was? . . .

I am horrible with names, Pam. Blog names are even worse than in-person. I have a bunch written down, but I always worry that I’m going to call you “Suzie” or something.

hahah I’ve been called worse! How’s this: Mind your ‘P’s and ‘Q’s? Pamela and Quiall. Quiall is for my cats Quinn and Ally. (gone now)

Cool – I had always wondered. I figured you explained it before I found you.
