Living life with a chronic illness is definitely not easy. But I do my best to push through all the barriers this illness puts in front of me! In my heart and mind, I believe maintaining a positive outlook on all situations in life will carry us through to much better times! I hope you find the information that I provide both helpful and inspirational!

Retired from the University of Texas and too old to play soccer anymore. Now, in the twilight of his years, time is spent writing in this blog, hiking and exploring Texas Parks, photography, working out, gardening and tending to the five ponds he built .
Rants, humor, sarcasm, and a haiku-like substance? It's hard to know what's going to come out of our minds next.

Awwww jeez Pam, this hurts my head! For the first part I am 28,627 days old. Good grief! The second part hasn’t come back from the jury yet. Don’t think the numbers would match!!

I know, math first thing is just cruel! In my defence, the comment just popped into my head and I couldn’t think of better people to share my angst with . . .

What is alive? Is it our first breath of air…first day at school…that first kiss that sets our heart beating…or to look into the eyes of our child as it takes its first breath…or maybe even that moment when you ‘know’ anothers love for you as you look into their eyes.
So much life, especially in those moments where we think we have lost it in a car accident or a bad fall…because the realisation that we are in fact still breathing allows us to feel and appreciate each breath that we take, each sunrise that we see, and even those everyday moments that may not seem like much, but in fact are a beauty within themselves.
How long have I been alive? About as long as it takes me to realise what went before was so I could really see that each moment is alive, the possibilities eternal, to always enrich that beauty within us all ❤
Great post Pam, a real thinker to touch those many parts and wonder have we in fact lived or are we just counting the days 😀

I made 21,527 days, which by my calculations makes you a Gemini Pam.
Which means…..People born with the Sun in Gemini are spirited, fast, adjustable and smart. Their wit and their sense of humor will help them overcome any difficulty life brings their way, while the gift of communication is their biggest asset. Fun and always open for new friends, experiences and adventures, Gemini have a way of imposing their charisma on everyone around them making things light and carefree.
No wonder you’re ‘Curiosity Run Amok’ 😀

I have those days when I want to do nothing, not even think. I look back and realize that I need those ‘down’ day to appreciate the ‘good’ days. There are more ‘good’ than ‘down’. Even if some days I have to force it.
