Move along,
Move along now
There’s nothing to see
Don’t furrow your brow.
You cannot stop moving
If you want to live
There’s work to be done
And so much to forgive.
From birth until death
There is a progression
With life in the middle
It’s at your discretion.
The choices you make
On this journey of yours
May help or may hinder
For those keeping scores.
Now is the time
Take stock of your self
Should you be living
Or left back on a shelf?
Move along,
Move along now
There’s so much to see
If you only know how.
“If you only knew how.” That’s the crux of it, isn’t it? We’re all muddling along in our lives, tripping over our own feet half the time, doing the best we can. We are truly each ‘a work in progress’.
Another great poem Pam. It always amazes me how you say so much with so few words!! Love your painting.

Mmmmm, some shelf time would feel good right about now. I know, I know, I’m moving.

I think we all need a little ‘shelf’ time . . .

Your poem makes me think – sometimes life moves along too fast and at other times, maybe in hardship, we have to remind ourselves to keep moving forward.
I love the bark on the trees in your painting. 🙂

Prompting thought is perhaps the most one can hope for from any writing. I thank you for that. And that entire painting was done with a pallet knife and not a brush. So, thanks!

This is so beautiful and profound. Moving, doing despite emotional or physical pain shows you are alive. Embrace it and move on. Life has so many more miracles to discover
