So many times, I feel like they are just stirring the pot because it makes for more “easy to report” news. When some of these big events happen. either my wife or I will ask “so, did nothing else happen in the world today?”

I am with Dan on this one. Substitute “ratings driven” for well-meaning. I spent a lot time around city hall and the state where even the simplest most straight-forward press release got spun into a dog’s breakfast.

Sadly, so true. The media grabs on to a “breaking” story, and that’s all they broadcast 24/7. Every news station. Like Dan and The Editor, we say, “That’s it? There’s no other news to report?”

I can remember when a news report consisted of FACTS….what actually happened….what was actually said. Today, we get a brief summary and then an abundance of ‘theories’ geared to scare the living daylight out of us so hopefully we’ll stay tuned to their broadcast. Unfortunately, with a lot of people, that actually works. ๐Ÿ˜ก

I can only take the ‘news’ in small doses. I’d almost rather listen to the damn ads!
