Who’s In Charge?

Politicians spout views

From the top of the stage

Their thoughts for the future

They want to engage.

Teachers have knowledge

They need to impart

The children are learning

Their places to start.

Parents should guide us

From the day we are born

That job never finishes

But often we’re torn.

But if we live with Faith

Then the answer is clear

God guides my path

It Is He I hold dear.

Who is in charge?

Was the question I asked

And the answer was given

And so I’ll hold fast.

The Lord is my shepherd

And the world is so large

But He’ll keep me safe

Because He is in charge.
