A smile can ease a painful hurt,
A twinkle in one’s eye.
And yet the process’s not complete,
Without some laughter by.
The trick is in the outlook,
That passes on the face.
A frown will leave you worry lines,
A smile will leave no trace.
Except perhaps within yourself,
With feelings strong inside.
So take the time and crack a smile,
And laugh to beat the tide.
Be careful how you do these things,
This medicine is strong.
Cause once begun you may not stop,
You know I’m never wrong.
Even though I wear a mask,
The fashion of the day.
The eyes will say it all for me,
My smile is here to stay.
During the last several months, I think I’ve gotten better at detecting smiles behind a mask. They still make me feel good. I hope people and “see” mine.

Well written dear lady, a good cackle can break most expressions cemented in by the years. And the hormones they break free should be bottled 😂 🤣
