I never was a fan of April Fool’s… Heck, I was scheduled to be induced for my son on March 31 and I was afraid he would be born on April 1st! So I took caster oil (vile stuff) on the 30th. It worked. He was born at 6;33 am, March 31!

I loved it as a child, tolerated it as a youth, dreaded it as a young adult and now I just don’t understand it. I wonder where it came from?

I’m with you except I never really loved it at all π

Is today special? I spent it watching a documentary where it showed that the moon walk was all setup on a stage screen. I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes. Interviews with Nixon, Kissinger and the gang all admitting to doing it π π€£

I tell you what, I did a double take in how they put it together. It did really portray that president and those around him in doing just that. In fact, it worried me, how easy would it be, via media, to portray ‘anything’ to suit themselves. It is a worrying thought π±

I never liked April Fool’s Day. Never understood why there is such a day. More often than not the pranks are mean-spirited and not done for fun.
Happy April 1st Pam. Hope today is the start of months of beautiful weather where you can enjoy being outside and people-watching and get up close and personal with Mother Nature.

As a child it was fun, friendly fun. But you are right, when it turned mean spirited I didn’t find that funny. Let’s hope this is the beginning of a lovely spring.

The only good thing about April 1st, is that it’s opening day for US baseball. As a child in late junior high and high school, I often skipped class with a few friends to go to the game. We were the April fools.

Surely – though presented in serious fashion -. “The Nuremburgh Trial” for the Covid 19 scam” was a sick joke? Someone sent it on line’?? What is going on?

I haven’t seen anything about it. I’m not sure I want to. Too many idiots spreading misinformation. And you’re right it’s not a joke.

I’ve never liked the whole notion, ever. Most of the ‘pranks’ fall far too close to abuse for my liking, and then they’re passed off as ‘jokes’. Sounds familiar, eh?

When I was young they were fun and whimsical but as I grew older they became sinister and mean.

I agree with Ginger. Never been a fan of the holiday. Should be called Liarβs Prank Day.

It is so sad when something so silly and childlike can be twisted to be something so malicious. Times are changing and not for the better.
