Just a test to see if this works,
It’s been such a struggle you see.
I like the old way, it really is great,
But powers that be don’t agree.

An idea. Get a new blog site that will be temporary. Give it a ridiculous name, such as BeethovenLicorice. Anything …. This site will be a place you practice using the block editor. Once you feel comfortable, delete the blog.

That is an excellent idea but I prefer to stay with the Classic Editor. It is more user-friendly.

The Happiness Engineers are going to be depressed and disappointed. They left a great big box of widgets and thing-a-majigs on your doorstep and all you seem to want to do is play with the same old crayons and paper. Then again none of us came here with the intention of pleasing the Happiness Engineers. Glad you found your way back to familiar territory.

I like crayons. There are so many pretty colours that you can do such wonderful things with. I don’t need any thing-a-majigs.

I’m back on it too thanks to SueW and her post Navigating the Waves (similar to your own instructions last year before the tweaked was tweaked again).

It worked! I like the old way too though! Do we always have to make things more difficult? More complicated?

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! Why don’t people get that?

I think the ones that want to mess with the good and make it worse, are young people, probably just out of college. They have no clue really. My opinion only, but an older person would not do this.

You passed the test Pam!
Wish I wanted to do the same, but this new way . . . blows.

The new way is wrong and so unfriendly. I will keep the Classic Editor as long as I possibly can. And then I’ll wonder whether not I want to continue blogging.

I have been looking into other sites. Sadly, WP is the best. If only they weren’t being so obstinate about Block. I’d gladly pay for the Classic. But not several hundred dollars.

I grabbed the ‘Advanced Editor Tools (previously TinyMCE Advanced)’ wordpress plugin and haven’t looked back Pam. Sets up just like the classic with a few more goodies to boot…and its free 😀

Haha! It does feel like an experiment every time. I don’t know one person who thinks it was an improvement!

And that’s what I don’t understand. Why would they move forward with something everybody hates? Doesn’t our opinion matter?
