A Gift From My Mind

My mind is sending messages,

And my fingers must comply.

It seems I had a thought one day,

Now words they must apply.

Some will make the grade I know,

And form a sentence true.

Others have no place this time,

They’ve something else to do.

I wonder what will come of this,

This present I’ve been given.

Will it be a poem rhyme,

Or something else that’s driven?

Gently I will take this trip,

My curiosity is piqued.

I ponder what’s in store for me,

And what pray tell has leaked?

Join me if you have the time,

To wander down this trail.

As long as we are open to it,

We really cannot fail.

I would love to wander that trail with you my friend. If I’m really lucky, some of your creative juices will latch on to me! Priceless.

Your painting, I think, depicts your mind. Always swirling and creating. Love it.
