it is so liberating when you know, without a shred of doubt, that you can trust someone. x

It is one of the best feelings in the world. Complete trust. It is also quite rare.

No doubt about it because we don’t expect it to be violated. Unfortunately, some can’t help doing so.

And that is what can make it so devastating.

To trust someone or to be trusted by someone is a powerful bond. It’s a brutal eye opener when we have to face the fact that someone we believed we could trust has betrayed us. Worse than that, if we were the betrayer.

That is the conundrum we deal with in every relationship.

Trust can make things work between people and, when misused, it can be awful.

We are all vulnerable and trust can make it even more devastating. But when it works…

Yes it is, but thankfully also the foundation of our love as we break through to it 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

Now that you have said a mouthful we can talk about it for a week. or so. When mixed with betrayal even more so terrifying. For often the betrayed are the last ones to know.

That is true. But if we stop trying we may miss an absolute jewel of a person.

Trust given might return and bite. Cynical me…bitten many times!

Yes but somewhere inside all that betrayal is someone you can trust. That’s why we can never stop trying.

It’s been very hard for me to trust. And when I found my faith was something to trust I leaned in more. Humans are just not always trust-worthy. And each time I trusted and got hurt, I learned and tried not to get bitter. I think it’s overcoming those situations that make me wiser in who and what to trust. Have a blessed day, Pam!

That is very true. People are sometimes hard to trust but we don’t know what issues they are dealing with. That ignorance makes it hard.

Pam, that is so true. I always try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. I love hard. And I trust easy. But that’s what I’m called to do.

Wise words Pam, especially as we have our own ‘bits’ that are projected at the same time 😀

Sadly, I was betrayed by one of my two God-mothers way back, and as she was my father’s younger sister, it was even more of a shock. She was the most religious member of the family, which was a worse sin.We live and learn.
