I once had a tale I wanted to tell,
But the words had all gone away.
I did try to plead and then to cajole,
They said they had plans for the day.
Are they not the tools for the use of my whim?
How dare they make their own plans!
Now I am left holding a page with no words,
And what should I do with my hands?
From the corner of my eye, I noticed a word,
It seemed to have been left behind.
Another came forward and then yet another,
It seems that they too were declined.
Persnickety and oxygen are really great words,
But how would that work in a rhyme?
Cacophony is here but a little too loud,
And I’m really not sure there is time.
Perhaps I will rest, away from this world,
And maybe use images instead.
I hope they come back to a place in my mind,
Or maybe I’ll just see what’s ahead.
Thanks for giving me a smile this morning!

Ha ha! So hilarious. I hope those errant words come back soon and behave themselves.

This was a great way to start the day. I need oxygen to get over the hump 😊

You use your words well dear lady, simply because you give them freedom to express themselves 😀

As long as they let me join them!

Pam, what a great way to start my day! This is hysterical. But I can’t believe any word would want to flee from from your imaginative mind. You make magic with words, to our delight.

I think they fight amongst themselves for top billing.

I love your rhyme game, Pam. Let’s call it what it is, a celebration of words. I dig that very much.

a moment of un – feng shui. they do not all come easily. some don’t even sputter and stop. not even a reason to get out the mop. no clean up need. the page is unseeded. maybe tomorrow…

I love this, Pam. Words are such wonderful things, aren’t they? Well, when they are accomodating and play nice, of course…

Oh the tales I’d have to tell if I could just find those misplaced thoughts!
