Well stated – and just because one goes up the ramp doesn’t mean the highway will always be smooth. One will encounter many bumps along the way.
But your quip also made me laugh as you reminded me of a song. Guy and gal break up. The first verse he goes on a week-long drunk. But the chorus is his wake-up mantra – On the highway of life, she ain’t nothing but a flat tire.

Ha ha ha! I have never heard that song! But it does paint a picture.

It’s more of a local song … the artist calls it the only love song he knows.

Some get on ok, but they speed down to that last exit ramp of life having never enjoyed what’s in between. What a shame.

Good point Ginger! They never take their eyes off the road to see what’s near them.

I did, I did…but someone broke down in the left lane, a semi was dawdling in the right and as I got past him they’ve had roadworks for the next 500 miles. Maybe I should have caught the train 😂 🤣
Ooh, by the way Pam, talking about madness in our lives. I got this news item from our local weather guys over here. I thought only we had crazy temps like this…
Wildfire burns town of Lytton that set new record high temperatures in Canada three times this week.
00:23 AEST A wildfire has torn through the small town of Lytton in British Columbia that set new record high temperatures for Canada on three consecutive days this week. Lytton’s roughly 1,000 residents had to abandon their homes with just a few minutes notice on Wednesday evening (local time), after enduring a record high temperature of 49.6 degrees Celsius the day before.
Hopefully all are ok. I think I’m getting off the highway now, I think I might move to cool Antarctica 😀

BC is not prepared for those kinds of temperatures. We get them in southern Ontario, or almost that hot on occasion but my heart breaks for the people who are dealing with something that they are not used to.
