Two bison ran me down,
I swear it’s really true.
Walking down the street,
What was I to do?
Minding my own business,
My face towards the sun.
Nothing really on my mind,
But looking for some fun.
The land began to rumble,
And then a growling sound.
Barely seconds passed,
And I was on the ground!
I heard a raucous laughter,
Coming from those beasts!
But I am kissing pavement,
And praying for some priests!
I raised my head a tiny bit,
To see what I could see.
Imagine my surprise,
When there was really three!
Juvenile delinquents,
Racing without a care.
Prepubescent miscreants,
On skateboards for a dare.
I raised my fist in anger,
At the injustice of it all.
I’m too old to ride a board,
But damn, I can recall!

A really convoluted dream! I am not sure where it came from but I could hear the bison running.

That was great fun. I loved it!
Child to father: What’s a bison, Daddy?
Father:, It’s what you wash your face in, silly. (ouch) x..

You have outdone yourself again my friend. This is beyond fun!
But on the serious side, on the news a few nights ago, caught on someone’s phone camera, it showed a young man speeding along on his skateboard and plowing into an elderly woman, knocking her to the pavement. She will be ok, but she suffered a lot of scrapes and bruises and cuts. What a shame.

Oh my word! I have not seen that. I haven’t had an issue with skateboards for many years but they used to be the bane of my existence. Part of me really, really wanted to run into them… Evil side of me does come up occasionally. Ha ha Ha.

Those skateboards do rumble like a bison with those joins in the sidewalk…but apparently it is illegal to tackle bison and bring them to the ground 😂 🤣
Great poem dear lady, and I hope your dream becomes untangled 😀

Thank you kindly Mark. So if it’s illegal to tackle bison, does that mean we can tackle skateboarders?

Go for it dear lady, I’ll look the other way 😂
It’s a pity they haven’t got spokes in their wheels, you could jam your umbrella into them and flip’em 🤣

Fun! Good thing you weren’t really run over by man or beast. That would have hurt!

It would’ve hurt even more if I got up and caught them!

Haha! I laughed. Sorry at the end it was urchins and not bison. I am glad it was “fictional” and not real? No injury right?

Beautiful! I come from a long line of redheads. Mine was strawberry blonde growing up. It’s a darker auburn reddish grayish mix when natural lol. I love redheads. ❤️🤗
