I like to thing of the cutting edge as shaping the future (more of a machine tool reference) so no blood.

Cutting edge, bleeding edge, shaping the future they all remind me of the learning curve. You know that part where a wanna be expert discovers there are a few or more things that should have been considered before divining into the deep end of the pool. It is going to be fantastic… right after we iron out a few wrinkles. Kinda like the block editor… and bit coins.
