I’m a hypocrite, I watch TV. And I am sooo looking forward to the new fall season! And some TV is worthwhile and well, some isn’t. I love, love that last line!

I used to just take the tube out and put a fish bowel in there Pam. It was beautiful. But some fool invented digital led screens, you can only fit those skinny pet termite nests in them, sorta took the romance out of it 😂 🤣

I read while Michael watches TV. There are a few shows on that I really like and will be starting soon. I have to admit I’m happy about that.

And one wonderful advantage to books …… no annoying endless ads! 🤗 I can become one with the characters for as long as I like.

I have a friend who wouldn’t sit and read a book if you paid her. I just can’t wrap my head around anyone who wouldn’t love reading, unless they can’t read, then that’s another issue.

I once dated a man who in his entire 20 years of life and only read one book for pleasure. It was the Last of the Mohicans so, good book. My last name is Read. How could I not be a reader. I almost married him. In my heyday I read at least two books a week. I did that for decades.

    Wait. Yes, all true, but…waitaminute…
Your intellect is encouraged to expand by books and TV is that time when you can empty the unnecessary fluff (because, I, too, am looking forward to the next season of fluff!)

I think of TV as the required break from reality. A time for my mind to switch off. I like the idea of fluff. I too am looking forward to the next season of fluff.

I agree. Sometimes when watching a documentary, I think.. ummm…. this is NOT fluff and not a break – but they are good too 😉
Much as I enjoy Netflix and Prime, I still like my shows. Like Survivor (that I just can’t seem to quit!)

Finding a good book can sometimes be a battle. When I find an author I like, most of what they’ve written ends up on my read list. As for TV, we are selective and stream everything we want to view. End result: no commercials and no BS shows.
Reading has its downside: I think I ruined my eyesight being forced to read 1000+ pages every two weeks while in grad school…
