A car was right in front of me,
With a tail light that was broken.
I wondered what had happened,
And if it could be spoken.
Had it happened recently?
Or some time ago?
Had it been on purpose?
Or did one really know?
I know it’s just a silly thought,
That’s running through my mind.
But have you ever wondered,
When something’s not defined?
Could it be a metaphor,
For life’s uncertain ways?
Or was it just an accident,
Or some new childhood craze?
The light began to blink,
And the car then pulled away.
All my wondering now must end,
But they’ll start again one day.
An enquiring mind does not hurt and I love your think thoughts!

Those blinking thoughts bedazzle us all Pam, well spoken 😀
And just to add to your story, on the news tonight a pair of ducks and their many new born ducklings decided to cross one of our major freeways and a cameraman was on hand to film it, but alas they dawdled and went forward and then back unsure which direction to go…until at last a decision was made for them by a driver not watching in front of him, smashed many tail lights with a noise that made the duck family decide enough of this racket and left. None of them had tail lights dear lady but I never saw any bump into each other 😂 🤣

One more proof that animals are smarter than people. Not so good in the opera though.

If more of us questioned the things around us more often, this world would be in much better shape. I’m not suggesting we analyze every single thing to death, but I love the way you take the time to wonder about little occurrences….if there’s a deeper meaning to it than the obvious. Well done my friend.

You’re so gifted. The small things we see, the details and oddities, ~as a writer you wonder. You just write how many brains work. But with way better words than I!

It’s how we feel every time we see a single shoe or sandal lying in the road. 🤷♀️

I love that you put to paper (so to speak) your thoughts on everyday mundane (not boring!) things!
