We need time to germinate as people.

Yep, you have no idea how many times I’ve looked in the mirror and seen a carpenter, an engineer, a racing car driver, a fireman and even a singer…but the only music I ever made was a gargle in the shower…full of bubbles. But hey, after a very long time of trying to fit into everything else, I finally did fit into something……me! 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋 😂 🤣

That is true but you never get a second chance to make first impression. A good friend of mine said she thought I was quiet and shy when she first met me. She soon found out I was quite the opposite. we tsil laugh about that. I guess I was really trying to make a good impression.

First impressions can be intimidating for both sides

Ain’t that the truth! Ever notice that after someone has died, everyone who knew her/him recalls that person differently? Because that’s how s(he) appeared to each person.
Maybe that’s how we get to be fully who we are…,,being able to appear/act differently with different people. Perhaps it takes different people to bring out all the personalities in each of us. We all certainly have many sides.

I like that Mark! Wife tick, Mother, tick, singer? (stiffled laughter), ‘Tiller Girl’ (too much of a short-arse…). Lots more crosses, a few ticks and I, at last, found me. Several ‘quirks’ but a writer and very lucky.

Some people never truly realize who they are and that is a shame.

First impressions can go either way.

Second and third impressions are more accurate.

I do agree, Pamela. Take living with someone for the first time: be it a lover, spouse, relative or friend. Each week, you learn something new about them (however minute!) And isn’t it amazing how different traits can be at variance with each other!!

Few are ever as they first appear to be. Most people do have other qualities to discover. And to keep things positive lets stick to most. Because I am positive most are what keep life interesting.

One of the reasons I write. Am fascinated by the complexity of the human mind!

It is scary in its complexity but fascinating to unravel.
