We would be wise to recognize that we don’t know everything and stop acting like we do. A little humility goes a long way.

And that is the first step towards wisdom.

There is so much to learn. And each bit fits somewhere into this puzzle called life and civilization. Knowing select specialized parts does not necessarily make us wise to other elements. The other important part is the ability to evaluate or validate other individuals wisdom. Even if we do not have the specific wisdom we can often tell if the various pieces of the puzzle do indeed fit or if the wisdom is faulty.

We need to except our lack and respect it in others when it is there.

I love this, Pam. Humility. Being dumb has taught me a lot. Now to be wiser…

I love it when people underestimate my intelligence. Or in some cases over estimate it. Ha ha Ha

This hits close to home, seeing as how so many among us feel they are “informed” and knowledgeable thanks to social media. Problem is, there’s so much wrong information.

There is no shame in ignorance. The shame lies in not wanting to learn about that of which we are ignorant.

You are so right! Ignorance is more honest.

It is. And so many people use the word in a negative way when it really means you do not know…

I disagree with most perceptions of ignorance. Even the dictionary which implies a lack of education about something. If you break down the word, ignore-ance, it sheds new light on its meaning. To ignore something is to not acknowledge that which can be known. Just food for thought…

I know ignorance, he lives next door, we go for walks often. Still can’t get him to mow my lawn though 🤣 😂

Imagine their consternation if they did and ended up on the underside! … would they have to walk on their hands all the time? Would everything be dark? … one has so many unanswered questions! 😀
