I have always considered friends to be the spices we add to our lives. It would be pretty boring without them.

I so agree with this. We are born into a family but we choose our friends. They are precious.

We can’t choose our family but we can choose our friends and they can be just as close.

What a great quip, what a wonderful sentiment. Isn’t it odd how our friends often know us better and love us more than our families do? I feel as close to you my friend as if we grew up together. Friendship is a wonderful thing, and I treasure ours. 💓

As do I my friend. I am close to my family but I know others that are not. It is almost as if there is an obligation in a family. Friends are a choice on both sides.
