Please is such,
A simple word,
When it said,
And when it’s heard.
It is so easy,
To be kind.
I swear to you,
No one will mind.
And if you plan,
To be that way,
Then just perhaps,
It’ll make your day.
Beam a smile,
Towards another,
And in return,
He’ll be your brother.
If it’s done,
With studied ease,
The world will change,
If we say please
So true!

Awwww, love the gorgeous fur ball. I love today’s poem too. Timely message, worth repeating. Although none of us should need to be reminded to be kind or to share a smile. Would I like to read more of your awesome poems? Yes, please!

I love that fluff at the top. I can still here my father saying, “what do we say?” And “how do we ask?” Simple lessons with lasting results. Great poem, Pam.

I always enjoy your playful rhythm. Well done … and an FYI about please. Although I don’t hear at as much as I did when I first arrive in Cincinnati (1976), people would say “please?” to mean way it again – would you repeat that? Yep … probably a local thing.

Thank you my friend. Maybe it’s an age thing.

Nice Pam. A simple word that means so much and isn’t used half as often as it should be IMO.

It costs so little and yet seems the hardest thing for some. Lovely poem and sentiment, Pam. Yes please to a better world 💕🙂

I so agree. And I find that a smile is almost always repaid and that return smile lifts my own heart.
