Rather it hurt when I ‘couldn’t’ smile…(a temporary hitch caused by a brief mental breakdown from grief a long time ago!) It sadly happens to most of us. x

It should! Of course, not speaking for those who suffer – that’s a different story.
But for me? Can’t help myself š

There might be a few things I owe them but I am too polite to say them out loud.

When you smile, take a while. When you pout, get it out.

Why thank you, very kind lady! xx (My husband questions my used of the word ‘lady’ and it stems from childhood.) My strict God-mother insisted I used the word whenever we met – which was frequently then (1930s/40s). I, of course, also use ‘woman’ but it’s odd how the word ‘lady’ seems to almost write itself now and then! I probably sense ‘refinement’… xx

All ladies are women but not all women are ladies. And the most important thing about being a lady is knowing when not to be. We have a choice.

I might go so far as to say terrifying. I can’t trust someone who is capable of smiling.
