In fact, it should be barely noticeable. Many people are allergic to perfume or strong scents of any kind. When I coached people on going for interviews, I suggested they not wear perfume or aftershave for that reason.

Truth! I started taking the stairs at work to avoid riding an elevator with or after a woman from a different company whose perfume trail I could follow from the parking lot like a hound dog.

And it shouldn’t linger after she’s left the room.

I worked with a woman who was in her 70’s. Her hair was impeccably styled. She was manicured and pedicured. Makeup done like a professional. Designer label clothes. But she apparently bathed in perfume! I got stuck in the elevator with her once and thought I would die before I could get air.

Just a dab will do ya!

It amazes me that some women don’t get it. Some men too. I once had a delivery guy whose cologne I could smell at least two minutes before he came to my apartment and about five after he left. And it wasn’t even a good one.

Yes, it was my, about to be, wife (now ex). She was wearing 4711 and it was beautiful. And after it settled it blended with her ‘scent’ and just lightly teased during our night out. Dangerous stuff I tell you, I was lost 🤣
