I know what’s being said,

From the readings that I’ve read.

That the life we live is tough,

And the living of it rough.

 

But here’s the thing I’ve learned,

That the life you have you’ve earned.

And the joy you get from living it,

Is the work that you’ve put into it.

 

So raise a glass of cheer,

For the moment you are here.

Cuz you know it won’t be long,

Before this moment here is gone.

    You got right to the heart of it…life. As you point out, we’re only here for a moment, so let’s not waste it. We won’t get it back!
