Music and the arts is interesting at least. The rest of it is a little scary.

“…a journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That’s the signpost up ahead – your next stop, the Twilight Zone!”
Perhaps my all time favorite show 😉

Oh yes! But the original one not the remake. I still remember where I was when I heard on the radio that he had died. Chills going up the back of my neck.

Yes, the original. Have you ever seen “Seven Days in May” ? He wrote the screenplay. It’s set in 1964, but you could easily imagine it happening today.

I don’t remember that one. I must look it up.

On reflection…(“During the war…”) Actually being at war and, mostly, evacuated became sort of normal and it’s amazing what one gets used to. We had a Police station quite near our house in Essex, UK where the Air Raid siren was housed – which made a hellofanoise – and long after peace was declared, we kept waiting for it to go off! Let’s hear it for peace! Cheers.

That’s the only way we can keep moving forward, by getting comfortable with what was once unfamiliar. It’s the way our world has always worked. So long as we don’t stagnate in our comfort zones we’ll be okay.

I remember when I first became annoyed by fashion changes. How pale that is in comparison to the essence of humanity changing….

Doesn’t comfortable mean the unfamiliar is now familiar?

We just need to accept that.

With social media and the news, both of which monikers should be replaced given their primary function is severely altered, being 24/7 change is now delivered by fire hose world wide instead of slowly working its way from one place to another. Perhaps it is why I picked up the latest book . Something about a one year hiatus in an electronic / electric free cabin in the woods. Now what possibly could make a soul want to do just that ?

That has such appeal!

Yeah, more like anticipating the unexpected! The only surety is knowing there is another day to look forward to, until, of course, there isn’t. ..ouch!

I’m all for comfort … stagnation, not so much, it’s the middle ground between the two that I aspire to. 😀
