I Can See

I have not seen the face of God

He does not speak to me.

But I look upon the wonders

Everywhere I see.

A single rose does blossom,

And a sprig of grass does sprout ,

Are these the wonders of my Lord?

I think there is no doubt.

I stood in awe and watched

As an infant drew a breath.

I held the hand of a woman

As she journeyed into death.

Sunrises and sunsets

Paint a beautiful sight.

These are things that I can see,

The miracles of light.

A simple breath is drawn

With words that we can share.

Because we really do believe

These wonders are not rare.

Every second matters

You and I do too.

Love should be a part

Of everything we do.

And now I understand

What it means to be.

I have seen the face of God

He always speaks to me.

Pam, this could only be so beautifully written by someone who really does see. If we would just open our eyes to the wonders around us, we would see too.

A most wonderful poem and love song to nature – and also pointing the way ‘ that love should be part/ of everything we do’.

it is sheer and strong and I am glad I opened our post this morning. 🙂
