The one thing I absolutely adore about cold, snowy weather is observing it from inside while I’m gripping a hot cup of tea.

We are on the same wave length my friend! Once upon a time I couldn’t get out in it fast enough. Now it’s observation only. Lol!

I do prefer my creature comforts. And tea.

Once upon a time way back when. Maybe not so far back I was involved with Scouting. We had a weekend called Camp Alaska. Friday night was in a cabin. Saturday morning if it was not too far below freezing we would hike a mile into the camp – far enough away from the cabins and the cars. Far enough away so you did not want to forget water, food, or warm gear and pitch tents for the night. Leave no trace camping in the middle of winter. Yeah looking out from the window sound good. Still it was fun.

I have camped in the winter time. It was an experience. I am too old to repeat it.

There does come a point where the answer is no. Especially when one has to get vertical from the cold ground in the morning…

I find with time, I have less and less desire to go out there. Once, less than ten years ago, I was gung-ho. Then again, I did have Zeke to keep me company 🙂

I like to say I’ve become civilized. But I had fun in my hooligan days.

I think that is the ultimate in civilised living – and what did our ancestors do before they had tea?

That’s why they learned to harness fire.

Send some snow this way, Pam. Still no snow here in Rochester, NY. Very strange weather here this winter.

You usually get much more than we do. Our snow is melting. But I think they’re calling for more in a couple of days. I would send it to you if I could…

I’m not much for tea, but every now and then, a mug of hot cocoa hits the spot while watching big fluffy flakes fall from the sky.

That would definitely work for me.
