Ginger Snaps

I would like to share something a little different today. These are not my quotes. Someone I met here on my blog has been commenting for a while now and I think she happens to be brilliant. Unfortunately, she does not have a blog of her own. It’s a shame because I think she’s wonderful! My opinion. These are her actual words on some of my posts. Please enjoy.

Ginger Snaps       (another instalment)

From 04 September 2022 on.

Let’s virtually join hands and feel each other’s strength and determination and allow it to power us forward.

Some journeys end with us right back where we started! Very often that’s a good thing.

We have a worse pandemic of “closed minds” than we do of Covid…all over the world.

People with closed minds are the same people with open mouths…they can’t stop talking.

If something is perfect there would be no need to brag…it would be evident to all on its own merits.

Sometimes what we never envisioned turns out to be the best thing ever!

A cracked frame is like a wrinkled face…every crack, every wrinkle, tells an amazing story about us.

If we would just open our eyes to the wonders around us, we would see too.

Cracks, chinks, flaws, wrinkles are all proof of a life lived, and hopefully well lived. They are our beauty marks for all to see.

Nine times out of ten, life is only as hard as we make it!

Instead of fearing what we don’t know, we would be wise to research all we can learn about it. Poof! Fear gone!

Our imaginations need unencumbered space to work their magic! Instructions just muck it all up because they’re somebody else’s instructions and have no place in OUR imagination!

Sometimes a bit of foolishness saves the day and lightens someone’s heavy heart.

Life is too short to not live it as fully as we can.

We humans are great at mucking things up but not at leaving things alone.

Ginger Snaps

24 May 2022  “Why thank you! Hardly witticisms though. Maybe Ginger Snaps!

Ginger”

Contemplating the day ahead is much more productive than contemplating your navel!

In a world where you can be anything you want to be, be kind.

We won’t know what we can accomplish if we don’t try.

The things we fight the hardest for are so easily lost.

I think we all march to a different tune. And because we march to a different tune we look out of step, but we’re not! We’re exactly where we’re supposed to be.

Very often the “grand gestures” are just bluster and hot air.

Sometimes after getting there from here, we realize we didn’t need to go there after all!

Don’t ever give up on your dreams. They are the soft spot where we can land when we’re having a tough day.

True friendships know no boundaries.

The absolute best laughter is the one you’re trying so hard to suppress.

Laughter is the thread that holds us together and joins us together with others.

Let’s show some gratitude for attitude! No platitudes please.

Some of us don’t understand what they DO know!

We need to stick our toe in the water and dive in instead of running back to our blanket on the beach!

Too often we just “decide” that something is impossible without seeing all the possibilities right in front of us.

Sometimes a single thought is all it takes to put something wonderful into motion.

Life requires we get off our butts and make ourselves useful and get involved. Couch potatoes not welcome!

Truth will always shine its high-powered beam on a lie and show it for what it is. Sometimes it takes a while, but beware lest you find yourself in the spotlight!

If we have life and chocolate, we pretty much have Everything. There’s not much room left for Nothing.

A smile, a kind word, a small thoughtful gesture, can make a huge difference in the big picture.

Maybe the lie is what we want to hear! The truth can be hard to take.

Free can be very expensive, especially if it’s in the form of advice!

Confessions

They say that confession

Is good for the soul.

An airing of sins

To keep yourself whole.

There are things that I’ve done,

Times that I’ve lied.

I’ve protected myself,

I’ve let myself hide.

Now murder’s a sin,

And burglary too,

There’s fraud and then arson,

To name but a few.

I will not admit,

Aloud to you all,

Of the evil I’ve done,

The list is not small.

I will say it here.

I’ll say it for you.

Jails not an option,

For one April fool!

Hee hee hee hee!

There Once Was a Girl Named Amiss . . .

There once was a girl named Amiss,

Who’s goal in her life was to kiss.

With men she would meet,

Their faces she’d greet,

And nary a one did dismiss!

The boys from around got to know,

From Amiss they’d get quite a show.

They’d come from afar,

To see the new star,

Only to find she’s a miss!

Now time as you know won’t be harried.

But the message of course will be carried.

From the men she did meet,

There was one she did keep,

And now the miss is a married!

On the Wall

                           A fly on the wall

                          We’d all like to be

                          A different perspective

On the world we would see.

No one would know

That we were so near

Gathering gossip

On those we hold dear.

Our size makes it easy

To wander about

Close and then far

Even inside and out.

There’s only one problem

I can see from this blotter

Wielded with accuracy

The dreaded fly swatter!
