Dancing With the Wind

She lay exhausted on the ground,

Her gentle rustling made no sound.

She remembered dancing with the wind,

As the sunlight slowly dimmed.

Ridged boughs gave her a chance,

A perfect spot for all to dance.

And so they did from dusk to dawn,

Then dawn to dusk before it’s gone.

But time will never be delayed,

Before too long the others strayed.

Fall became the winter season,

And with it came expected reason.

Curled around a lump of snow,

She said goodbye and began to go.

“Remember me,” she whispered then,

And with a sigh she breathed amen.

Once again, I’m using an image that was captured by Dan over at nofacilities.com.  He has a wonderful camera!  He also knows how much I like leaves . . .
